| Pozzo/Cisterna |
Il pozzo di Palazzo Orsini fu costruito intorno al 1500 d.c. in una bottega romana, trasportato lungo il Tevere e assemblato nel palazzo, dove ora possiamo ammirarlo.
La cisterna dell'acqua piovana è costituita da una soprastante vasca marmorea dalla quale si attingeva l'acqua. Essa è posta su un basamento, anch'esso marmoreo, formato da tre gradini.
THE WELL in ORSINI PALACE
The well in Orsini Palace was built around 1500 a.C., in a Roman workshop, transported along Tevere river and assembled in the palace where now we can admire it.
The tank of rainwater is made of a marble basin placed over, where you could take water . It is placed on a marble base characterized by three steps.

IL POZZO
Il pozzo è circondato dall' attuale pavimentazione.
Le decorazioni a rilievo realizzate sul pozzo rappresentano 2 stemmi e 2 teste di leone. Uno è lo stemma realizzato dagli Orsini, l'altro è lo stemma realizzato dai Medici insieme alle teste di leone, per rendere omaggio a Papa Leone X da parte degli Orsini.
Il pozzo è realizzato unicamente in marmo di Carrara e assemblato con una struttura di ferro che serviva anche per attingere l'acqua.
THE WELL
The well is surrounded by the actual paving.
The raised decorations realized on the well represent 2 coats of arms and 2 lions' heads.
One is the coat of arms realized by the Orsini, the other one is the coat of arms realized by the Medici, and together with the 2 lions' heads, they homage Pope Leone X by the Orsini.
The well is totally made in Carrara's marble and assembled with an iron structure used also to get water.
